This vintage German holy card is a beautiful and reverent reminder of what is going on in the Mass. We see The Holy Mass as it really is. Not just the visible aspects of it, but the invisible. The Mass is the re-presentation of Christ on the Cross, that exact moment in history perpetuated throughout the ages (Catechism 1323). When the priest makes the sacrifice, angels of the Heavenly Host are present.

We have a beautiful prayer on the back from St. Thomas Aquinas (see picture) to help prepare for Mass. We also have two quotes, one of them from St. John Chrysostom, who said, "When Mass is being celebrated, the Sanctuary is filled with countless Angels who adore the Divine Victim immolated on the altar."

Your guardian angel is up there, reverently worshiping the Lord!
