The MGO number on the front of the pot refers to the Methylglyoxal (MGO) and the related strength of Antimicrobial activity which is known to help restore wellness and promote immunity through killing certain types of unwanted bacteria and pathogens found in the body.

The greater the MGO number, the stronger the Antimicrobial Activity. MGO in Manuka honey is naturally made in the hive from DHA which is present in the nectar of the Manuka Bush.
